It was probably the exploit of Marcel Lalouette and Jean de Permangle which gave Hergé the idea of using the same device to allow Tintin to escape to India. But the Farman F-231 will run out of fuel and crash in the jungle, after escaping the Hawker Hart fighters of the Khemed Air Force.
